About Forge
Forge is a playground for anyone in IT — a monthly Saturday meetup in Baia Mare where people who write code, design, build, or love technology come together to make things.
What it is
One Saturday a month, people get together in Baia Mare with laptops, ideas, and side projects. There is no rigid agenda, no tickets, no badge scanning, and no presentation deck. You can drop in for an hour or stay for all four.
It is a casual space to work on whatever you are curious about — mess with a new framework or library, benchmark LLM prompts, pair with someone on a stubborn bug, or close your laptop and talk tech, stacks, and ideas over good coffee and snacks.
If you have something to show, you get the floor — whether it is a weekend hack, a fresh repo with three commits, or something you are building for fun. Got an idea or need feedback? Ask the room, share what you need help with, or find someone to build with.
Who it's for
Developers, designers, and anyone who makes things — including people who are two weeks into learning. There is no level requirement and no membership fee. If you are curious enough to turn up, you belong in the room.
How it runs
It is organised by a couple of people who also have day jobs, and paid for by whoever hosts us that month. There is no sponsor deck and no ticket price. Coffee and something to eat are always there.

Nobody performs
Half-finished counts. Broken counts. The point is showing the work, not the polish.

Ask the room
If you are stuck, say so out loud. Somebody has almost certainly hit the same wall.

No pitching, no hiring pitches at people who did not ask, no talking over anyone.
